Dean Fisher’s 2027 Venice, Italy workshop

Paint this stunning, magical landscape with brilliant, personalized instruction by the renowned painter Dean Fisher.
This seven-day intensive painting workshop takes place in the extraordinary setting of Venice, one of the world’s great cities for both painters and art lovers. Canals, bridges, intimate campos, monumental architecture, and constantly changing effects of light and reflection provide an almost limitless range of subjects for painting from observation.

Dean Fisher’s workshops are very popular and spaces fill quickly. It is recommended to reserve your place by placing your deposit for registration early.

There will be a three session (90 minute each) online “warmer-upper” course in July, 2027 for all participants. There is no extra charge for this three-session bonus course. This online course will discuss many concepts of open air painting including an examination of the laws of perspective, painting convincing reflections in water, and much more! 

• Seven full days of instruction, from 9am–6pm daily
• A minimum of eight hours of personalized instruction is provided daily, combined with full days of hands-on painting throughout Venice.
• Venice offers an exceptional opportunity to study many of the great masters of Venetian painting firsthand. The Gallerie dell’Accademia houses the world’s most important collection of Venetian painting, including major works by Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, Bellini, Carpaccio, and others.
• Many masterpieces can also be experienced in the historic settings for which they were created. The nearby Scuola Grande di San Rocco contains Tintoretto’s extraordinary cycle of paintings, while the Basilica dei Frari is home to major works by Titian. Throughout Venice, churches, palaces, museums, and scuole offer opportunities to encounter centuries of painting, sculpture, and architecture as part of the fabric of the city itself.
• Among the many important art destinations are the Gallerie dell’Accademia, Scuola Grande di San Rocco, Basilica dei Frari, Doge’s Palace, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the churches and museums found throughout Venice.

Course dates are

Painting Group #1 – October 1^st – October 9^th, 2027 (8 nights), 7 full days of painting and instruction

Painting Group #2 – October 9^th – October 17^th, 2027 (8 nights), 7 full days of painting and instruction

There is a limited enrollment on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The total course fee for the 2027 Dean Fisher Venice painting workshop is $5,200  USD for a single room per week. (reduced rate of $250.00 if you choose to stay for both weeks) 3 double rooms available for for a non-painting spouse for an additional $2,750
Early bird discount of $200 until 11/15/2026 or earlier when the course reaches full enrollment.

There is an additional $30 per transaction fee for all payments for this course made by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal (to cover the fees for using these services).

INSURANCE
Because of numerous early payments we have to make to reserve the hotel down payments and course fees cannot be refunded after April 1^st, 2027.
Therefore;
It is the sole responsibility of the workshop participants to obtain travel and health insurance as soon as you enroll in this course. This is widely available at a low cost to the participant and highly recommended in the event that you have to cancel participation for some unforeseen circumstance.
